Abstract:
A signal readout circuit 11 reads out signals from a photodetection element 7 having a plurality of photodetection pixels 71 which each generate a detection signal in response to light incidence. The signal readout circuit is provided with: N light incidence detection units 13 to which detection signals are inputted from N (N is an integer of 2 or more) photodetection pixels 71, respectively, and which each output a signal indicating light incidence; and a total value detection unit 14 which detects the total value of output signals from the N light incidence detection units 13. The respective light incidence detection units 13 output signals to which different weights are assigned according to the respective photodetection pixels 71. The weights are set such that the total values differ from each other with respect to the respective photodetection pixels 71 and all combination patterns of the photodetection pixels 71. Consequently, a signal readout circuit, a signal readout device, and a signal readout method for a photodetection element are implemented with which, even if light is incident simultaneously at a plurality of positions, the incidence of light can be separately detected while an increase in circuit size is suppressed.
