Abstract:
Provided are a signal transmission method and apparatus. The method comprises: a base station using a VAM matrix to process a first baseband signal, a second baseband signal, a third baseband signal and a fourth baseband signal to obtain four processed signals, carrying out pre-coding processing on the four processed signals to obtain four coded signals, and sending the four coded signals to a terminal device by means of four radio-frequency ports, wherein the four radio-frequency ports correspond to the four coded signals on a one-to-one basis, a first processed signal and a third processed signal are the same, a second processed signal and a fourth processed signal are the same, the first processed signal is obtained by superposing the first baseband signal with the third baseband signal, and the second processed signal is obtained by superposing the second baseband signal with the fourth baseband signal. The embodiments of the present invention can improve pilot frequency coverage performance in multi-antenna technology when the power at which a radio-frequency channel transmits a signal is not exceeded.
