Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a means whereby various kinds of chemicals contained in the environment or biological substances can be quickly measured as easily as possible or as cheaply as possible, even in an inferior environment or in the case of an emergency. A simple measurement tool which comprises at least two reaction regions comprising a water-based liquid, said reaction regions being independent from each other, boundary region(s) comprising a gel-type substance that is not or hardly soluble in the water-based liquid, a container holding these regions, and magnetic particles carrying a reactive substance immobilized on the surface thereof, wherein: the reaction regions are separated from each other via the boundary region(s); and, by using an external magnetic field-applying means, the magnetic particles can be substantially exclusively transferred from one reaction region to another reaction region, through the boundary region separating these reaction regions, while maintaining the independence of the individual reaction and boundary regions and the function of the magnetic particles. The present invention relates to the aforesaid simple measurement tool, etc.
