A fuel cell single cell according to the present invention is provided with: a membrane electrode assembly; a low-rigidity frame which supports the membrane electrode assembly; a pair of separators which sandwich the low-rigidity frame and the membrane electrode assembly; a gas channel which supplies a gas to the membrane electrode assembly held between the pair of separators; a manifold part which is provided onto the low-rigidity frame and the pair of separators so as to supply the gas to the gas channel; a constraining rib which constrains the low-rigidity frame in the vicinity of the manifold part; a projected part of the low-rigidity frame, which protrudes beyond the constraining rib toward the manifold part; and a gas circulation part which is provided in the projected part so as to supply the gas from the manifold part to the gas channel.
