Abstract:
Provided is a pillow which exhibits excellent comfort and sleep comfort during use. The present invention involves: forming an island section (4), the periphery of which is surrounded by a concave groove (3) of a prescribed length and formed on the inside of the outer-circumferential section of a pillow base section (1); and forming the concave groove (3) surrounding the island section (4) to a depth at which a section of the head of a person does not reach the groove floor section. As a result, even if the head placement area moves from near the center of the island section (4) to the edge section side thereof, a section of the head is supported by the island section (4) and the pillow base section (1) which sandwich the concave groove (3), a local restoring force is not imparted to a section of the head positioned toward the inside of the concave groove (3), and consequently, it is possible to provide a pillow which exhibits excellent comfort and sleep comfort during use.
