Title:
SLEEP REGULATION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/194357
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Since sleep-regulating electric blankets cause the body temperature of a person to rise 45 minutes before that person is to get out of bed, there may be times when body temperature cannot be raised during REM sleep taking an approximately 90 minute long cycle of REM sleep and non-REM sleep into consideration. Thus, such blankets were insufficient for obtaining a comfortable wake-up state. A sleep regulation system (1) according to the present invention is provided with a thermal heating unit (2) which contacts and heats a human body and a control unit (3) for controlling the heating operation of the thermal heating unit (2), said sleep regulation system (1) being characterized in that: the thermal heating unit (2) performs heating at 36 to 41ºC in the period between a heating start time 90 to 150 min before a planned time of getting out of bed and the planned time of getting out of bed; and the thermal heating unit (2) does not perform heating at a temperature higher than 33ºC in the period between getting into bed, or a set amount of time after getting into bed, and the heating start time.
