Abstract:
A slide gate for a molten-steel vessel is provided according to the invention. The slide gate includes a mounting plate fixed on the molten-steel vessel. On the mounting plate is provided a holder on which an elastic means is mounted. A sliding block is provided on the holder and a recess is formed on the surface of the base opposite to the sliding block. An upper sliding plate and a lower sliding plate are embedded in the recess. A rolling mechanism is attached to the frame, and a guiding mechanism is correspondingly provided on the sliding block so that the guiding mechanism correspondingly provided on the sliding block reciprocates relative the rolling mechanism provided on the frame to open and close the slide gate for the molten-steel vessel. According to the invention, as the guiding mechanism is provided on the frame and the guiding mechanism is correspondingly provided on the sliding block, during relative movement of the sliding block and the frame, fluctuation of interface pressing force acting on the sliding plate is significantly reduced, thereby improving overall stability of the system. As the elastic element is isolated from high temperature zone, not only the relative operating temperature thereof is low, but also the pressing force may be long standing and service life thereof is prolonged.
