Abstract:
A sliding member (21) of a braking device (2) at least partially contains a metal composite material in which a composite of latent heat storage material particles or a granulated body of said latent heat storage material particles and wettability improving particles is dispersed in a metal matrix, in which the wettability improving particles within the composite are bonded to the surfaces of the latent heat storage material particles or the surface of the granulated body of said latent heat storage material particles through use of a caking agent, and in which the average particle size of the latent heat storage material particles or the granulated body of said latent heat storage material particles is larger than the average particle size of the wettability improving particles.
