Abstract:
This sliding member comprises: a substrate (11d); a combination layer (41a) that is formed from at least nickel, aluminum that is a component of the substrate (11d), and phosphorus; and a nickel film layer (41b) that contains nickel as the primary component and is disposed above the combination layer (41a). Due to this configuration, the nickel film layer (41b) formed on the sliding member is capable of realizing good peeling resistance and is therefore capable of long-term, strong suppression of seizing or abrasion of the sliding member.
