Abstract:
Provided is a combined sliding member which can be produced by a simple method reduced in environmental burden and is excellent in terms of durability including seizing resistance, wear resistance, and fatigue resistance and of heat dissipation property, etc. The combined sliding member comprises a first sliding component and a second sliding component, which are each made of a steel material and which slide on each other. In the combined sliding member, at least one of the sliding surfaces of the first and second sliding components which slide on each other has a manganese phosphate coating film containing copper, the manganese phosphate coating film having a manganese content of 0.89 g/m2 or higher and a copper content/manganese content ratio of 0.03-2.50. The surface of the base material on which said sliding surface having the manganese phosphate coating film has been disposed has an arithmetic average roughness Ra of 0.16 μm or greater.
