Abstract:
The purpose of the invention is to provide a long-life sliding seal in which a first member can move smoothly relative to a second member. A sliding seal (11) adapted to seal an annular gap (14) between the two members in which the first member (12) can be moved relative to the second member (13), and partition the high-pressure side and the low-pressure side from each other. The sliding seal (11) is disposed in an annular fitting groove (18) provided to the second member (13), and is provided with: a pressure fluid seal (19) which slides against the sliding surface (24) of the first member (12); and a lubricant holding piece (20) forming a lubricant housing space (26) between the lubricant holding piece (20) and the pressure fluid seal (19), the lubricant holding piece (20) being provided on the high-pressure side relative to the pressure fluid seal (19).
