Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application disclose a slot negotiation method for a fine-grained service in FlexE. A sending device can generate N requests and send the N requests to a receiving device, N being an integer greater than or equal to 1. The N requests are used for initiating full slot negotiation of the fine-grained traffic. The N requests carry full sub-slot information occupied by the fine-grained service. The full sub-slot information indicates all sub-slots occupied by the fine-grained service. The N requests can be used for initiating full slot negotiation of the fine-grained service; therefore, according to the N requests, the receiving device and the sending device can negotiate on the basis of a full slot of the fine-grained service, so that the fine-grained slots of the sending device and the receiving device are kept consistent, and thus the problem that the fine-grained slots of the sending device and the receiving device are possibly inconsistent due to the use of an incremental negotiation mode is avoided.
