Abstract:
The present invention provides a slurry which enables the formation of a separator for secondary batteries having excellent heat resistance. A slurry according to the present invention contains: microfibers having a melting point (or a decomposition temperature in cases where the slurry has no melting point) of 150°C or higher; a water-soluble cellulose; and water. A cellulose derivative having a constituent unit represented by formula (c) (wherein three R moieties are the same as or different from each other, and each represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, said alkyl group having a hydroxyl group or a carboxyl group) or a salt of the cellulose derivative is suitable as the water-soluble cellulose.
