Abstract:
Provided is a socket for an electrical connector. The socket comprises a housing, and an electrical conductor arranged inside the housing, wherein the electrical conductor is provided with a snap-fitter; a mounting hole for inserting the electrical conductor is provided in the housing; an elastic arm making contact with the snap-fitter is arranged at at least one edge of the mounting hole; and the elastic arm is provided with a hook making contact with the snap-fitter arranged on the electrical conductor. According to the present invention, the snap-fitting area between the electrical conductor and the housing of the socket is increased, such that the retaining force is increased, and the insertion and extraction force is increased from 30 N to 90 N, thereby omitting the potting device cost and the process time cost and facilitating mounting.
