Abstract:
The present invention relates to a production method for a sodium hypochlorite pentahydrate crystal powder, said production method including a drying step in which a gas having a temperature of less than 25°C, a dew point of -2°C or lower, and a carbon dioxide gas concentration in the range of 250-1600 ppm inclusive is used to dry sodium hypochlorite pentahydrate crystals in a wet state including sodium hydroxide at a concentration of 0.01 wt% or higher, until the moisture content between crystals becomes 2.5 wt% or lower. The present invention also relates to a sodium hypochlorite pentahydrate crystal powder in which sodium carbonate is present on the surfaces of the sodium hypochlorite pentahydrate crystals, the sodium carbonate concentration is 0.1 wt% or higher, and the moisture content between crystals is 2.5 wt% or lower.
