Abstract:
Provided is a solar cell device for use on water, said solar cell device having a simple structure and increased stability with respect to wind or the like. The solar cell device (1) for use on water comprises a solar cell module (2) and a float (3) where the solar cell module (2) is disposed. The float (3) is equipped with: an upper surface (3b) where the solar cell module (2) is disposed; a lower surface (3c) which is located on the reverse side of the upper surface (3b), is in contact with the water, and is recessed towards the upper surface (3b); a penetrating section (3i) which has a first opening section (3g) that opens in the upper surface (3b) and further has a second opening section (3h) that opens in the lower surface (3c); a hollow section (3a) which is not connected to the penetrating section (3i); and a check valve (4) which is disposed so as to cover the first opening section (3g), allows the passage of gas moving inside the penetrating section (3i) from the lower surface (3c) side towards the upper surface (3b) side, and restricts the passage of gas moving inside the penetrating section (3i) from the upper surface (3b) side towards the lower surface (3c) side.
