Abstract:
A solar energy utilization unit comprises a solar radiation concentrating component and a solar radiation receiving component. The solar radiation concentrating component comprises a concave primary reflector and a convex secondary reflector, for concentrating incident solar radiation and forwarding the concentrated radiation into the solar radiation receiving component. The primary reflector is formed with a centrally disposed opening via which the solar radiation receiving component is adapted to receive the concentrated radiation. The unit further comprises a cover made of a transparent material, the cover being firmly attached to the primary reflector to cover the entire reflecting surface thereof. The cover holds the secondary reflector at a predetermined disposition relative to the primary reflector and the solar radiation receiving component.
