Abstract:
A sole (10) constituting a part of footwear comprises: a shock-absorbing part (210) provided at least in a rear foot region (R2) for cushioning impact on the heel of a foot upon landing; and a support part (220) provided at least in a middle foot region (R3) for supporting a middle foot portion of the foot, the support part (220) having a rigidity higher than the shock-absorbing part. The support part (220) is located frontward of the shock-absorbing part and has a support surface (220a) having a shape extending from one end to another end in the width direction. The shock-absorbing part (210) has a recessed surface (212) located at a height lower than the support surface, and a plurality of columnar bodies (214) each having a shape extending from the recessed surface to the same height as the support surface.
