A solid-liquid separation device capable of satisfactorily separating solids and liquids and conveying a solid component. A solid-liquid separation device (10) separates mixtures of solids and liquids, such as the excreta of humans, the urine and feces of livestock, or household garbage, into a solid component and a liquid component. The solid-liquid separation device (10) comprises: a flat plate-like separation plate (11) which receives the mixtures of solids and liquids on the upper surface thereof and which is provided with an opening (12) for allowing the liquid component to pass downward therethrough; a conveyance mechanism (13) which pushes the solid component remaining on the separation plate (11) out of one end (11F) of the separation plate (11); and removal members (16A, 16B) which remove the solid component adhering to the opening (12) or closing the opening (12).
