Abstract:

A solid-state image pickup device (1) is provided with a light-reception unit (10), a first row-selecting unit (20), a second row-selecting unit (30), a first reading unit (40), a second reading unit (50), and a control unit (60). Image-pickup data is obtained by having the first reading unit (40) output data of pixel units of the row of the light-reception unit (10) that was selected by the first row-selecting unit (20), and communication data is obtained by having the second reading unit (50) output data of the pixel units of the row of the light-reception unit (10) that was selected by the second row-selecting unit (30).
