Abstract:

A sound absorption member that has a Helmholtz resonance structure that comprises inlet passages and hollow parts that are connected to the outside by the inlet passages. The sound absorption member is characterized by including a first layer and a second layer that is laminated on the first layer, the first layer having a first main surface and a second main surface that is on the reverse side from the first main surface, the second layer having a third main surface that faces the second main surface, and a fourth main surface that is on the reverse side from the third main surface, the first layer also having first through holes that pass from the first main surface to the second main surface and form the inlet passages, the second main surface comprising second main surface open portions that are end parts of the first through holes, and a second main surface flat portion that is the portion that is not the second main surface open portions, the third main surface comprising third main surface open portions that are end parts of the hollow parts, and a third main surface flat portion that is the portion that is not the third main surface open portions, the open area of the second main surface open portions being smaller than the open area of the third main surface open portions, and there being a first layer of air formed between at least a portion of the second main surface flat portion and the third main surface flat portion.
