Abstract:
A display processing device, which displays a superimposed image that presents additional information by superimposing the superimposed image on a display image, comprises a superimposed image producing unit and a display processing unit. The superimposed image producing unit produces the superimposed image configured from a set of two images, that is, a color image constituted by color information representing the color of each pixel for presenting the additional information on the display image and a transparency image constituted by transparency information representing the transparency of each pixel for presenting the additional information on the display image, and stores the color image and the transparency image that constitute the produced superimposed image in association with each other in different spaces in a storage unit connected to a common bus. The display processing unit determines, on the basis of the transparency information of each pixel constituting the transparency image acquired in advance from the storage unit, whether or not to acquire the color information of each pixel constituting the corresponding color image from the storage unit and superimposes the superimposed image on the display image after compensating for the color information of the pixel not acquired for the color image with pseudo-color information.
