Abstract:

When a code error occurs in a received code string, an error processing section (130) is actuated, and the section (130) generates a correct code string based on the code string received before the error is detected. A decoding section (21') decodes sounds based on the correct code string and updates the internal state based on the results of the decoding. When the error is corrected, a restoration-from-error processing section (140) is actuated and the section (140) reestimates a correct code string received while the error is detected based on the code string received before the error is detectd and on the code string received after the error-including code string, and generates a second estimated code string. The section (21') decodes a second presumed code string based on the internal state information held in an internal state storing section (23'), and updates the internal state information based on the results of the decoding. Thus, the quality of decoded sounds is improved after the error is corrected.
