Abstract:
A specimen conveyance unit 10 comprises a plurality of conveyance blocks 1 that each comprise one or more light-emitting bodies 3 and are for conveying a specimen container holding body 6 for holding a specimen container 5 accommodating a specimen, and a control unit 4 for controlling the conveyance of the specimen container holding body 6 by the conveyance blocks 1. The control unit 4 causes the light-emitting body 3 of a specific conveyance block 1 from among the conveyance blocks 1 to emit light according to the conveyance state of the specimen container holding body 6. As a result, a specimen conveyance device and specimen conveyance method are provided that make it possible to, regardless of the system scale and more easily than in the prior art, specify the position on the device of a specimen container to have the position thereof ascertained or the position on the device of a device part to have the position thereof ascertained.
