Abstract:
A specimen preparation method according to the present invention is a specimen preparation method for preparing an observation specimen by mounting an observation sample on an optically transparent plate, the specimen preparation method including: a mounting step for mounting the observation sample on the surface of a pool of liquid retained on the plate; and a fixing step for making the amount of liquid in the pool of liquid on the plate greater at one end of the plate than at the other end thereof and bonding and fixing the observation sample to the surface of the plate progressively in the direction from the other end side to the one end side. This makes it possible to reliably and readily prepare an observation specimen.
