Abstract:
Provided is a spectrophotometer wherein a xenon flash tube is used as a light source, a difference light-pulse duration can be set for each wavelength in a measurement wavelength range, and the size of an integration window can be set such that the obtained signal does not become saturated in an analog-to-digital conversion circuit. The wavelength of light from the xenon flash tube (1) is selected, and the analog-to-digital conversion circuit (13) is set to an integration-window size appropriate to the selected wavelength. For wavelengths with high emission intensity, an integration-window size such that the analog-to-digital conversion circuit (13) does not become saturated is set. Provided are a spectrophotometer and spectrometry method wherein a xenon flash tube is used as a light source (1), a different light-pulse duration can be set for each wavelength in a measurement wavelength range, the size of an integration window can be set such that the obtained signal does not become saturated in an analog-to-digital conversion circuit (13), the signal-to-noise ratio is good, and saturation of the analog-to-digital conversion circuit (13) can be avoided.
