Abstract:
Provided is a controller, which establishes a speed change in a stepped transmission mechanism continuously variably by the control of a continuously variable transmission mechanism. By tilting a rolling element, a continuously variable transmission mechanism for causing the actions to accelerate and decelerate a first output disk and a second output disk simultaneously is connected in series to a stepped transmission mechanism for changing the gear ratio stepwise. The output disks are individually connected to two intermediate shafts in the stepped transmission mechanism. In the speed change at the stepped transmission mechanism, the rolling element is tilted to increase the rotation number of one intermediate shaft and to decrease the rotation number of the other intermediate shaft, so that the rotation number of a mating member to be engaged by a switchover mechanism and the rotation number of the switchover mechanism are synchronized (at Steps S3, S4 and S5).
