Abstract:
The present invention relates to a speed-variable elevator system, and more specifically, to a speed-variable elevator system which resolves a bottleneck phenomenon associated with operating two or more elevator cars by varying the operating speed of a leading elevator car and a following elevator car, and thus can improve transportation efficiency and ensure operational reliability; by having the following elevator car travel a predetermined section at a speed less than a rated speed greater than that of a stationary state, prevents the following elevator car from having standby time in a stationary state, and thus can avoid generating anxiety or boredom in passengers, and as a result, can minimize passenger complaints; and can reduce power consumption of the following elevator car, and thus can reduce overall operational energy.
