Abstract:
A sphygmomanometer (100) comprises: a blood pressure measurement unit (210) that measures the blood pressure of a user; a monitoring unit (220) that monitors irregular pulse in the user during the first time of blood pressure measurement by the blood pressure measurement unit (210); and an output control unit (230) that outputs the user's blood pressure value measured by the blood pressure measurement unit (210). When an irregular pulse is determined by the monitoring unit (220) to have occurred, the blood pressure measurement unit (210) again measures the user's blood pressure multiple times, and the output control unit (230) outputs, as the user's blood pressure value, the average of the blood pressure value measured during the first time of blood pressure measurement and the blood pressure values measured during the multiple times of blood pressure measurement.
