Abstract:
Disclosed are a medicinal drug, a quasi drug, a cosmetic, a food, a beverage, a pet food, a feed and others which are highly safe, have an excellent SREBP-inhibiting activity, an excellent ACC1-inhibiting activity and an excellent malonyl-CoA-inhibiting activity, and are effective for the prevention or amelioration of troubles associated with the abnormality in sebum or lipids, such as seborrheic alopecia and seborrheic dermatitis (eczema) or the prevention or amelioration of SREBP-associated diseases such as diabetic nephropathy or metabolic abnormality. Specifically disclosed is an SREBP inhibitor, an ACC1 inhibitor or a malonyl-CoA-inhibitor which comprises chlorogenic acid or a salt thereof as an active ingredient.
