Title:
STATE TRANSITION TIMER SETTING SYSTEM, MOBILE EQUIPMENT, MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND STATE TRANSITION TIMER SETTING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/179830
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to more efficiently reduce power consumption for mobile equipment. A state transition timer setting system is provided with an acquiring unit (13A) that acquires prediction information related to an amount of traffic for mobile equipment (1A), a timer determining unit (14A) that determines a state transition timer for the amount of time until the state of the mobile equipment (1A) is caused to transition from a communication state to a power-saving state on the basis of the prediction information acquired by the acquiring unit (13A), and a timer setting unit (15A) that sets, in the mobile equipment (1A), the state transition timer determined by the timer determining unit (14A). Here, the state transition timer is either the amount of time from a time at which the mobile equipment (1A) ends data communication until the transmission to a base station (2) of a transition request instruction that requests transition to the power-saving state, or the shortest transmission interval, after the mobile equipment (1A) transmits a transition request instruction following the end of data communication for the mobile equipment (1A), in which the mobile equipment (1A) is able to transmit the next transition request instruction.
