Abstract:
A steel pipe roundness prediction method according to the present invention predicts the roundness of a steel pipe after an expanding process in a steel pipe manufacturing process which includes: an edge bending process for performing an edge bending treatment on the width-direction edges of a steel plate; a press-bending process for shaping the steel plate on which the edge bending treatment has been performed into an open pipe by pressing a plurality of times using a punch; and the expanding process for carrying out, on the steel pipe obtained by joining the edges of the open pipe to each other, shaping by expanding. The steel pipe roundness prediction method includes a step for predicting the roundness of a steel pipe after the expanding process by using a roundness prediction model which was learned by machine learning and in which one or two or more operation parameters selected from the edge bending process operation parameters and one or two or more operation parameters selected from the press bending process operation parameters are included as input data, and roundness information for the steel pipe after the expanding process is used as output data.
