An objective of the present invention is to provide a steel plant maintenance assistance device capable of appropriately presenting to an operator information for use in assessing whether action is required for quality maintenance. Provided is a steel plant maintenance assistance device comprising: a computation part for computing a degree of seriousness from a relation between a quality precision distribution within a given stratification and the quality precision of a steel material of interest; and a display control part for causing a display device to display information indicating the degree of seriousness computed by the computation part. As a result of this configuration, information for use in assessing whether action is required can be appropriately presented to an operator.
