Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a steering apparatus with which an operation lever can be operated with the same operational feel even if an upper column slides and the fastening position of a fastening mechanism changes. [Solution] This steering apparatus includes a steering shaft, a steering column, a bracket, and a fastening mechanism. The steering column includes a lower column, and an upper column. The upper column includes a clamp part, a cylindrical part, a pair of projecting parts, and a reinforcement rib that extends so as to bridge the outer peripheral surface of the clamp part and the outer side surface of one projecting part. The clamp part has a contiguous clamp part that is positioned toward the cylindrical part, and a separate clamp part that is separate from the cylindrical part. Each projecting part includes a contiguous projecting part that projects from the contiguous clamp part, and a separate projecting part that projects from the separate clamp part. The reinforcement rib linearly extends from one separate projecting part toward the contiguous clamp part.
