Abstract:
Provided is a steering control device that can determine a friction transition state accurately without employing road surface counterforce torque, and adjust the hysteresis width of steering torque freely and stably. This steering control device comprises: an assist command value correction means (14) that, on the basis of a result of a friction transition state determination means (13), corrects a basic assist command value so as to increase the hysteresis width of steering torque at the time of turnabout steering; and a current drive means (10) that drives a motor (5) in accordance with an assist correction value such that the current of the motor matches a current value based on the basic assist command value. The friction transition state determination means (13) determines a friction transition state by integrating a derivative value of a steering shaft counterforce torque with an integrator (17) that has a function of limiting the derivative value at predetermined upper and lower limit values.
