Abstract:

Provided is a smoking article having a filter attached thereto, which enables a tobacco flavor imparted by tobacco shreds and a taste sense stimulant component to be experienced separately. The smoking article having a filter attached thereto comprises a tobacco rod which contains tobacco shreds, a filter which is connected to one end side of the tobacco rod, and a taste sense stimulating material which is arranged in the filter and comprises a taste sense stimulant component, wherein the taste sense stimulating material occupies a portion of the traverse cross section of the filter so that smoke flow paths through which mainstream smoke passes can be formed in the remainder of the above-mentioned portion in the traverse cross section of the filter.
