Abstract:
This steering control device is applied to a steer-by-wire system (901) in which a steering mechanism and a turning mechanism are mechanically separate, or to an electric power steering system (902) in which a steering mechanism and a turning mechanism are mechanically coupled. A steering control device (201) applied to the steer-by-wire system (901) controls the driving of a steering motor (78) that functions as a reaction force motor that imparts a reaction torque to a steering wheel (91). When a prescribed condition is met while a vehicle is stopped or parked, a steering wheel lock calculation unit (75) of the steering control device (201) performs a "steering wheel lock driving control" that calculates a driving instruction to output a locking torque for keeping the rotation of the steering wheel locked by supplying electrical power to the steering motor (78). A power converter (77) converts power from a power supply according to the driving instruction calculated by the steering wheel lock calculation unit (75), and supplies the converted power to the steering motor.
