Abstract:
An ultraviolet absorber comprising a compound represented by formula (1) and, in an ethyl acetate solution, having a maximum-absorption wavelength in the wavelength range of 350-390 nm, wherein a value obtained by dividing an absorbance at a wavelength of 430 nm by an absorbance at the maximum-absorption wavelength is 0.01 or less; a resin composition containing the ultraviolet absorber; a cured object; an optical member; a method for producing the ultraviolet absorber; and the compound. In formula (1), X1 and X2 each independently represent a cyano group, etc., R1 and R2 each independently represent an alkyl group, etc., and R3 and R4 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxy group, or an aryloxy group.
