Abstract:
A steering device, provided with: a cylindrical inner column for rotatably supporting an input shaft linked to a steering wheel; a cylindrical outer column having at least a part of the inner column inserted thereinto; and a cylindrical lower column for rotatably supporting an output shaft linked to the input shaft, the lower column being supported by a dash panel. During a primary collision, the lower column moves rearwards, and during a secondary collision, the inner column and the outer column move relative to each other.
