Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a stent that can adequately maintain connections between struts throughout a prescribed period due to a biodegradable material and a mechanical connection structure that is provided to the struts. [Solution] A link section of a cylindrically shaped stent (100) includes a first connection section (112) and a second connection section (113) that are integrally provided to neighboring struts (111) and are positioned facing one another, and a biodegradable material (121) that is between the first connection section and the second connection section and connects the first connection section and the second connection section. The first connection section and the second connection section are both positioned in locations that overlap an imaginary line (Y1), said imaginary line being parallel to the circumferential direction (D2) of the cylindrical shape. The first connection section and the second connection section are both positioned in locations that overlap an imaginary line (X1), said imaginary line being parallel to the axial direction (D1) of the cylindrical shape. Each connection section has a straight line section (112d), (113d) that forms a straight line when viewed from a radial direction of the cylindrical shape.
