Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a stent that can be more easily passed through a lumen in a living body and that can more reliably provide a radial force needed to maintain the lumen in a living body in an expanded state. [Solution] A stent 200 includes a plurality of ring parts 210 and connecting parts 220. Of the plurality of ring parts, at least the ring part provided at the extreme distal end has a substantially elliptical external shape including a long axis extending along a first axis D1, which is inclined with respect to a vertical axis Y, and a short axis extending along a second axis D2, which is orthogonal to the first axis, in a state in which the stent 200 is contracted. Furthermore, the angle formed between the vertical axis and the first axis decreases as the stent 200 in a contracted state expands and is deformed.
