Abstract:
[Problem] The present invention is a stereoscopic image display device that displays a stereoscopic image using two images, a right-eye image and a left-eye image, such that the stereoscopic effect of the stereoscopic image is less prone to changing depending on the position from which the viewer looks at the monitor. [Solution] When displaying an image, a distance measuring unit (40) of a monitor (9) measures the distance from the display surface of the monitor (9) to the viewer. An image processing unit (8c) reduces the direction corresponding to the disparity direction, among the x-axis direction and the y-axis direction of the right-eye image and the left-eye image, at a predetermined reduction ratio such that a longer measured distance is accompanied by a smaller disparity. The monitor (9) displays a stereoscopic image of a breast (M) based on the data of the image subjected to the image processing described above in the image processing unit (8c).
