Abstract:
A storage battery having a metal case (10) with a bottom, the metal case having received in it a collector (7) and an electrolyte, the collector (7) being a flat plate connected to one side of an electrode plate group (5) that is constructed from a positive electrode plate (2), a negative electrode plate (2), and a separator (5) that are band shaped; a sealing plate (11) for sealing the upper part of the metal case; and a lead terminal (9) for electrically connecting the sealing plate and the collector. The collector (7) has one or more projections (13) that electrically connect the collector and the lead terminal. The construction solves a problem of increased contact resistance between a lead terminal and a collector, has reduced contact resistance, and has excellent large current discharge properties.
