Abstract:
A storage system according to an embodiment of the present invention is configured such that, when processing a command which an admin server issues, the process is executed in either a synchronous mode in which task switching is not carried out from the start through to the end of the process, or an asynchronous mode in which the processing of the command is carried out with time-sharing processing. When carrying out the admin command process, the storage system determines whether to carry out the process in the synchronous mode or the asynchronous mode according to the type of the admin command.
