Abstract:
A control device (60) of a straddled vehicle (1) performs control that merges oxygen sensor heater control and idling stop/start control. If an engine (10) transitions from a drive state to an idling stop state while a power supply switch (70) is turned on, the control device stops energization of a heater (22) of an oxygen sensor (20), irrespective of the temperature of a sensor element (21) of the oxygen sensor. After the first operation related to the rider's intention to travel is performed following the transition to the idling stop state, the control device resumes energization of the oxygen sensor heater irrespective of the temperature of the sensor element. During the period from when the transition to the idling stop state occurred until the first operation related to the rider's intention to travel is performed following the transition to the idling stop state, the control device does not return the engine to the drive state, and does not energize the oxygen sensor heater.
