Abstract:

Disclosed is a stride calibrating method. The method comprises: a first device detecting that a user is walking or running, collecting the number of movement steps of the user, determining whether it needs to calibrate a stride of the user in a pre-set database, and if so, requesting for acquiring an actual movement distance of the user from a second device, wherein the stride of the user in the pre-set database is used for being provided for the first device to calculate a movement distance of the user; and the first device calculating, according to the actual movement distance of the user and the number of movement steps of the user, an actual stride of the user, and updating the stride of the user in the pre-set database by using the actual stride obtained by means of calculation. By means of the solution, the stride estimation and calibration can be performed on the first device not configured with a distance monitoring element, so that the accuracy with which the first device calculates a movement distance of a user is improved.
