Abstract:
A capsule-type medical device (10) in an in-vivo information acquiring system (1) comprises: an illuminating unit (13) for illuminating the interior of a subject (100); an image pickup unit (12) having an effective pixel region (Reff) in which an optical image of the interior of the subject (100) illuminated by the illuminating unit (13) is formed and an OB region (ROB) in which the optical image is shaded; and a light modulation control unit (16, 17, 18) for modulating the light amount of the light from the illuminating unit (13) on the basis of the pixel value of an image signal of the effective pixel region (Reff) and the pixel value of an image signal of the OB region (ROB).
