Abstract:
This substance detection system (1A) comprises a substance sensor (10), a distance sensor (11), and an information processing unit (20). The substance sensor (10) detects a substance (3) released from a generation source (2). The distance sensor (11) detects the distance (L) between the generation source (2) and the substance sensor (10). The information processing unit (20) is provided with an assessment unit (21). The assessment unit (21) assesses whether or not the distance (L) detected by the distance sensor (11) is within a range (L1)-(L2) in which the result of detection by the substance sensor (10) is validated.
