Abstract:
Provided is a supercharger including: a rotor that includes a compressor impeller; a bearing that supports the rotor in a rotatable manner; and a bearing base that accommodates the bearing. The bearing base has: a cooling space that is formed on a back side of the compressor impeller; a bearing accommodation space that accommodates the bearing; a lubricating-oil flow path that allows the cooling space and the bearing accommodation space to communicate with each other, in order to supply lubricating oil from the cooling space to the bearing accommodation space; and a lubricating-oil supply port that is formed in an outer surface of the bearing base and that communicates with the cooling space. The supercharger further includes a lubricating-oil supply line that is configured to supply the lubricating oil from the outside of the supercharger to the cooling space via the lubricating-oil supply port.
