Title:
SUPERCONDUCTING ROTATING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/193714
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This superconducting rotating machine is provided with: a stator that has a cylindrical stator core and a stator winding wound toroidally around the stator core and formed from a superconducting material, the stator generating a rotating magnetic field; an inside rotor rotatably retained along the inner periphery of the stator; and an outside rotor rotatably retained along the outer periphery of the stator. The inside rotor and the outside rotor each have: at least one rotor winding selected from (a) a superconducting squirrel-cage winding having end rings and one or a plurality of rotor bars that are formed from a superconducting material, and (b) a normal-conducting squirrel-cage winding having end rings and one or a plurality of rotor bars that are formed from a normal-conducting material; and a rotor core provided with a plurality of slots for accommodating the rotor bars of the rotor winding(s).
